Advantages of PVC Cards :
First, they’re durable and scratch-resistant.
Compared to paper cards, PVC is more durable and less prone to bending. Plus, even after a long time, it remains just as good as when it first came off the production line—it won’t look worn out or aged over time.
Think about it: you’d definitely want to keep your business card in your wallet at all times so you can easily pull it out whenever you need to. Doesn’t that mean it needs to be more durable?
Second, they’re waterproof.
Oh, if a vendor tells you that paper cards are waterproof after being laminated, that’s absolute nonsense!
Can they be submerged in water for half a day? Of course not! Even if they don’t melt, they’ll likely end up all soggy and limp. Come on, the advantages of our PVC cards are crystal clear—you can soak them for a whole day, and they won’t fade or warp. Now that’s what I call truly waterproof!
What are the different thicknesses of PVC cards?
| Thickness | 0.38mm | 0.76mm | 0.84mm |
The 0.38mm-thick card is a very economical option, offering the affordability of paper cards while retaining the inherent advantages of PVC, such as durability, scratch resistance, and water resistance;
0.38mm-thick PVC can be made either opaque or translucent.
Both 0.76 mm and 0.84 mm are standard thicknesses for bank cards. Typically, standard printing alone already gives them a high-end look, but some clients have even higher expectations. In such cases, we can apply raised embossing with gold or silver foil stamping—a premium card production technique.
| Thickness | Matte | Glossy | Frosted |
For opaque PVC, we can choose from frosted, matte, or glossy finishes;
I strongly advise against using a glossy finish on dark-colored backgrounds, as scratches from the manufacturing process are easily visible on the card’s surface;
